New Tenant Rights Ads Released on City Buses

A new round of tenant rights ads are now on city buses!  Send us your photos when you find some on your bus, and tell us the line you found it on! Thank you to the artists and tenants who collaborated to create these important educational materials.  Images are available for download and distribution here.

Longtime Bay Area artist Zeph Fishlyn worked with us to educate tenants about high-pressure buyout offers.  You are never required to take a buyout, and it is always a good idea to talk to a tenant counselor first!  If you change your mind, you have the right to back out within 45 days.  Find more information about buyouts here.

San Francisco-based artist Vida K worked with the South of Market Community Action Network to create beautiful and informative ads lifting up the inter-generational struggles to resist evictions and displacement in SOMA. Find more about your rights when your building is for sale here.

Local artist Rob Trujilo worked with the Veritas Tenants Association and the Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco on a series of ads renters on how to stand up to harassment and pressure to move from including through harassment, buyout offers, or endless construction.

Look out for more ads in the spring, and designs on bus shelters coming soon!
